I checked up a number of software programs before I zeroed on Algebrator. This was the most appropriate for syntehtic division, logarithms and geometry. It was simple to key in the problem. Instead of just giving the answer , it took me through all the steps clearing up all the way until it reached the answer . By the time, I arrived at the solution I learnt how to go about it by myself. I used the program for working out my problems in Remedial Algebra, Remedial Algebra and Algebra 2 in math.
