There are so many similar programs available on the market, but I was looking for something which can interact with me like a human tutor does. My search ended with this software. It corrects me whenever I make mistakes like a human tutor, but it does not scold!!
I purchased the Personal Algebra Tutor (PAT). The system is not has functional as I wanted or expected, and there are several problems it will not solve, or certain problems will freeze up the system. The program is OK but there are too many limitations and several technical issues. It took three e-mail from their tech support just to activate the program.
I originally bought Algebrator for my wife because she was struggling with her algebra homework. Now only did it help with each problem, it also explained the steps for each. Now my wife uses the program to check her answers.
My mother is always pestering me about playing on the computer, because she thinks it's a waste of time, yet i have proved her wrong when I managed to improve my Algebra grades with the aid of your software. It is indeed a real helper.
The Algebrator software helped me very much. I thought the step by step solving of equations was the most helpful. It was easy to use and easy to understand.
