I've always wanted to excel in prentice hall conceptual physics, it seems like there's a lot that can be done with it that I can't do otherwise. I've searched the internet for some good learning tools , and consulted the local library for some books, but all the information seems to be targeted at people who already know the subject. Is there any tool that can help new people as well?

What exactly don't you understand about prentice hall conceptual physics? I recall having problem with the same thing in Intermediate algebra, so I might be able to give you some suggestions on how to handle such problems. However if you want help with math on a long term basis, then you should get Algebrator, that's what I did in my Intermediate algebra, and I have to say it's the greatest ! It's less expensive than a tutor and you can use it anytime you feel like. It's very easy to use it , even if you never ever had a similar software . I would advise you to purchase it as soon as you can and forget about getting a math tutor . You won't regret it!

Some teachers really don’t know how to explain that well. Luckily, there are programs like Algebrator that makes a great substitute teacher for math subjects. It might even be better than a real professor because it’s more accurate and faster !

Algebrator is the program that I have used through several algebra classes - Pre Algebra, Remedial Algebra and College Algebra. It is a truly a great piece of algebra software. I remember of going through difficulties with adding functions, graphing equations and like denominators. I would simply type in a problem homework, click on Solve – and step by step solution to my algebra homework. I highly recommend the program.
